Pros:
Have worked with multiple multiple SEM and SEO firms before, and most of them are PIRATES. These guys are both competent (they got the ratings I wanted on the terms I wanted on the microsites we had them work), and they really seem to CARE about client success and performance.

Cons:
They were based in Austin, so occasionally there were time zone issues with the West Coast when I wanted to do an end of day meeting

Pros:
They really know their stuff. I'd worked with several other SEO's before, and I always came away wondering whether I'd been taken advantage of. These folks made me money. Lots of money. Provable money. I like that.

Also, they are really nice humans. Not flashy, not arrogant, but nice. They not only perform, but care about their clients. Highly refreshing, based on what I'd seen before.

Cons:
They were so performance oriented that it was at first something of a shock.
Most marketing agencies seem to have that carnival barker thing going on --
that "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain thing" that at first I was puzzled by these guys. They were much more of a "just the facts" kind of outfit. Once I figured that out, we got along swimmingly well.
